| Dr. WarwickDr. Warwick Bayly is perhaps best known as Dean of the Veterinary College at Washington State University. He assumed the role of interim dean in 2000 and later was named to the head position. Warwick hails from Melbourne, Australia where he earned his BVSc degree from Melbourne University in 1974. He served residencies in equine medicine and surgery at both Texas A & M and Ohio State Universities. While at Ohio State, he also earned a master’s degree in 1979. In 1999, Bayly earned a doctorate from the Universite de Liege in Belgium, and was certified as a Diplomate ACVIM. Dr. Bayly was involved at WSU for more than 20 years as an instructor in equine medicine at the veterinary college. In 1995, he was named the first four-year Robert B. McEachern Distinguished Professor in Equine Medicine. He has also served as the colleges associate dean for continuing education and interim chair of the department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences. During his term as college professor and as president of WSVMA, Warwick brought his warm enthusiasm, leadership skills, and administrative capacity to the students and colleagues he encountered. |
