Notice of Annual Meeting of Members and Election of WSVMA Board of Directors

Notice is hereby given that the Annual Meeting of the Members of the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association will be held in person and via Zoom on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Noon for the following purposes:

To announce the election of two directors to the WSVMA Board of Directors; and
To transact such other business as may properly come before the meeting or any postponement or adjournment.

This Ballot is made available by the Board of Directors of the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association for member voting in advance of the Annual Meeting of Members to be held at Noon on Saturday, September 26, 2026. This meeting will be held in-person as part of the Pacific Northwest Veterinary Conference (PNWVC). The PNWVC is being held at the Tacoma Convention Center, Tacoma, WA. There will also be a Zoom option for members who cannot attend the PNWVC venue. Any adjournments or postponements to the planned time/running of the meeting will be separately advised to Members.

Members of record at the close of business on September 11, 2026, are entitled to notice of, and to vote for candidates for the Board of Directors. At the time the Association prepared this notice it had 1,187 (1,120 in 2025) voting members. Each voting member is entitled to one vote on all matters presented. Five percent of the membership entitled to vote shall constitute a quorum.

Members are to elect two Directors to fill the expiring terms of three Class III Directors. The Directors will each serve three-year terms. Members may direct their vote for a write-in candidate in lieu of one of the candidates presented.

In the absence of a nominee for an anticipated vacancy the Board of WSVMA will plan to fill that vacancy through an appointment at the Annual Meeting of the Board, or subsequently.

The WSVMA Leadership Development Committee has met with the two candidates who have been nominated for election/re-election to the three upcoming vacancies. The Leadership Development Committee recommends that the Members of the Association vote to elect/re-elect the two nominated candidates.

Votes must be cast by 10 am Pacific Daylight Time on September 25, 2026.
