January 29, 2021

Join us Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 12 pm for our webinar The Equine Neonate – Treatment in the Field and When to Refer. Dr. Jenifer Gold will be our guest speaker. The lecture will concentrate on what’s normal and abnormal in the neonate. What can be done in the field and what is a situation likely to need a referral. Specific points will emphasize sepsis, hypothyroid foals in the PNW, and neonatal maladjustment syndrome.

Dr. Jenifer Gold graduated from a dual program at Washington State University/Oregon State University in 2002. She then completed a rotating internship in equine medicine and surgery at Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center in 2003, followed by a 3-year residency in Large Animal Internal Medicine at Cornell University-Diplomate American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. She was in private practice for 2 years before taking a clinical assistant professor position at Texas A&M University Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences. During the time at Texas A&M, she completed a 2-year fellowship in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care. Dr. Gold became a Diplomate of American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care-Large Animal. She is a Clinical Associate Professor in Equine Internal Medicine at WSU.
