Sold Out Front Office Boot Camp – Total Success & Further Continuing Education Opportunities

February 9, 2024

Terra Shastri, the Director of Business Development and Strategic Initiatives at the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association, led an interactive 5 ½ hour Front Office Boot Camp for WSVMA this last Wednesday. The Boot Camp, which focused on understanding a veterinary practice from the client’s perspective, was a full house with every spot available accounted for. Attendees were asked to think through the impressions a client formed, as they telephoned, arrived at, received animal care, paid their bills, and were rebooked for their next visit. In small group discussions attendees worked on clearly articulating the rationale for various veterinary recommendations in ways that were more likely to have resonance (and therefore be better understood) by clients. This 5 ½ session was very well received and WSVMA is now looking at bringing Ms. Shastri back to the region for its 2025 conference.
