SCAM ALERTS

August 22, 2025

Scam Alert One:

We need to advise that scammers are once again attempting to impersonate WSVMA Board Members by requesting that payments be made on their behalf. Please do not respond to these requests—they are fraudulent attempts to scam you.

If you receive one of these emails, please forward it to [email protected]. WSVMA will never ask you to make a payment to a third party on its behalf. If you are unsure about any request, please call WSVMA directly at (425) 396-3191. Do not reply to these emails. The scammers have researched our leadership and may attempt to engage with you to make the requests appear legitimate—they are not.

Scam Alert Two:

The Washington State Department of Health’s Office of Health Professions (OHP) has reported ongoing scams targeting licensed health professionals. These scams involve fraudulent communications that appear to come from OHP staff, often using the names of real employees and email addresses that closely resemble official DOH accounts.

More details about these scams can be found on the Washington Department of Health website.
