New occupational health and safety certificate program

August 6, 2021

The Work and Health Traineeship, a subset of the Advanced Practice Environmental and Occupational Health (APEOH) graduate certificate program, is open to individuals with a bachelor’s degree from any discipline who are interested in developing workplace health and safety expertise. Individuals may be eligible for funding by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). Further information can be found here.

Interested participants are encouraged to take a survey to provide thoughts about the program. Participation in this anonymous survey is voluntary. It will take about 2 minutes to complete. They plan to use the information gathered to improve the program such as addressing potential barriers for interested applicants. The survey can be found here.

Occupational health and safety are complex and integral across industries and occupations. In addition to traditional core occupational health and safety professionals, multidisciplinary professions, such as the veterinary profession, can also contribute to ensuring healthy and safe work environments and a healthy workforce.
