| Dr. Blair de Vries completed her undergraduate and professional degrees at Washington State University. Her career has evolved from working in small animal medicine (private practice and relief) to large animal work at the farms she owns and operates with her husband. In addition to farming, Dr. de Vries is a project veterinarian in the WSDA Animal Health Program. She was part of the Power of Ten class (2018-2019), where she helped organize, produce, and distribute their class project, the Ready Vet Go podcast (https://wsvma.org/power-of-ten/podcast/). She was selected to attend the 2020 Veterinary Leadership Conference as the rising leader for Washington State by the WSVMA Board of Directors. Dr. de Vries served on the WSVMA Board of Directors (2020-2023). Her interests vary within the vocation from aquatic medicine to zoonotic diseases, and she has a passion for serving others through work and volunteer opportunities. Pastimes include outdoor recreation, reading, and exploring other cultures through language, travel, and food. She is grateful to partake in those activities and others alongside her spouse, children, and dogs. |
