The SAVMA Rabies Run is an annual 5K fun run put on by SAVMA to raise money for the Rabies Free Africa campaign. The campaign aims to eradicate rabies in Africa by 2030 by sending canine rabies vaccines. The campaign has already reached 2.5 million vaccines! The event is being held on Oct. 22 at 10 am outside Bustad Hall.
The Rabies Run is more than just a 5K! Runners will have to pass through a one-mile zombie loop where zombies will try to eat their brains (AKA steal flags from them). Runners that make it out alive (with flags) will get extra tickets to enter a prize drawing at the end of the run! Every runner will get one ticket for participating and a bonus ticket if they dress up in a Halloween costume!

Interested volunteers should contact Holly or Meg. Zombies will get discounted t-shirts ($10) and will be provided with zombie costumes and makeup on the morning of the run.
