The annual White Coat Ceremony at the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) signifies the beginning of a student doctor’s journey as a medical professional. When the white coat is placed on their shoulders, they are committing to prioritize compassionate, collaborative, and scientifically excellent care from the very first day.
In 2024, there will be 82 incoming students welcomed at the Pullman campus on August 15, 2024. WSVMA seeks to welcome the incoming first-year students to the CVM in August by purchasing a White Coat for each student. Each coat will have the student’s name and the WSVMA logo embroidered. A White Coat symbolizes a student’s entry into the profession of veterinary medicine. Priced at about $55 each, it is a wonderful and affordable way to personally welcome a future colleague.
Contributions to WSVMA to help pay for these White Coats are encouraged. Each veterinarian/donor contributing to the White Coat Ceremony will be listed in the program. To be included in the program, please make your donation no later than July 25. Donations are accepted all year long. You can find out more and donate here: Download the donation form or pay online on the WSVMA website.
