The Washington Center of Excellence is currently recruiting small animal veterinarians to participate in focus groups regarding antimicrobial prescription resources and susceptibility test result interpretation. Focus groups will take 45 minutes-1 hour and will occur over Zoom. We are looking to conduct two focus groups of approximately 6 participants each during the months of July and August.
The results of the focus group will be used in combination with analysis of results from a survey for Washington State veterinarians regarding antimicrobial prescription practices as part of a collaborative project run by the Washington Center of Excellence involving researchers from UW and WSU. The goal of the project is to expand our understanding of antimicrobial resistance in Washington state from a One Health perspective and to learn about the barriers faced by veterinarians in terms of antimicrobial stewardship. Our goal is to provide resources that are helpful and intuitive to the small animal vet community and we cannot do this without your input.
