Unique opportunity to understand and improve your practice’s finance

August 4, 2023

Join us at the Pacific NW Veterinary Conference on Friday, Sept. 22 for a lecture and a lab on practical veterinary finance with Dr. Beth Fritzler. The lab session will involve exercises on setting up a chart of accounts, analyzing financial reports, selecting specific key performance indicators for a practice, and creating a budget. Attendees may use sample reports for the exercises or bring their own financial data so that they can work through the exercises with real numbers for their practice (no attendee data will be shared with other participants).  Owners and practice managers are encouraged to attend together.

Beth Fritzler, DVM, CVPM graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University in 1991. While in vet school she met her husband, Dr. Tim Kraabel. She began her career as an equine practitioner, but switched to exclusively small animal practice in 1993 and joined the Lien Animal Clinic in West Seattle in 1996, purchasing it with her husband in 1999. They soon realized that vet school did little to prepare us for business ownership and began pursuing further management training. In 2006, she earned a Certificate in Practice Administration from Purdue’s Veterinary Management Institute. Shortly thereafter, she joined Veterinary Management Group 14 & became active in the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association, serving on both the Ethics Committee and Board of Directors. In 2008, she became a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM), currently one of a few dozen veterinarians who are also certified in veterinary practice management. In 2016, she and Tim partnered with two former associates to open Cascade Heights Veterinary Center, a small animal practice in White Center. Although she still occasionally sees patients, the majority of her time now is devoted to managing Cascade Heights Veterinary Center, where she serves as Hospital Administrator and Chief Financial Officer, and consulting on veterinary practice management.
