The WSVMA is hosting a Legislative Townhall, From Olympia to Your Veterinary Practice – A 2021 Legislative Preview, on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, at 12pm. The town hall is to provide members with an update on legislative and regulatory activity expected for 2021.
Featured speakers include WSVMA President Dr. Richard DeBowes, Legislative Advocate Greg Hanon, Chair of WSVMA-PAC Dr. Mike Bellinghausen, and CEO Candace Joy.
We’ll also feature Rep. Mike Chapman from the 24th District in Port Angeles. He’ll speak to members about legislative activities, entertain questions, and shed light on prevailing conditions. Before being elected to the WA State Legislature, Rep. Chapman served for a decade as a local law enforcement officer and U.S. Customs Inspector followed by terms as a Clallam County Commissioner.
Attendees will hear about what to expect from the WA Legislature, 2021 legislative bills and pending regulations, as well as insights affecting veterinary practices and professional life. Information will also be provided on how WSVMA influences legislative and regulatory successes. The townhall is complimentary for members.
