Suicide Prevention Training
AVMA has recently announced a Diversity Equity Inclusion and Wellness Conference to be held in Atlanta in November this year. WSVMA also has a Wellness Committee, and the Committee Chair, Dr. Sonja Olson, took a lead role in developing the Suicide Prevention Training that is hosted on the University of Washington Forefront site. The Veterinary Board of Governors requires all Veterinarians to take this training one-time training, recognizing that trainings such as this are key to reducing suicides and self-harm within Vet Med.
