In memoriam
Dr. John Cannon (WSU, 1975), died on August 17, 2022, after a brief illness. He was 76. After graduating from vet school and obtaining his Master’s in microbiology, he established Argonne Village Veterinary Clinic along with his wife, Dr. Sharon Cannon. They practiced there for 35 years. Dr. Cannon enjoyed serving in organized veterinary medicine. He was involved in the Inland Empire VMA and served as their representative on the WSVMA Board of Directors. Dr. Cannon served as a WSVMA officer and was president in 2011. A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 4521 N. Arden Rd, Otis Orchards on August 30 at 11 am. Memorials may be made to the Washington State University Veterinary Heritage Scholarship Fund, Friends of the College of Veterinary Medicine Scholarship Fund, or to the Vitalant Blood Center in Spokane.
