Veterinary Career Center
Members looking for employment can conduct a free nationwide search by position, species, and location and receive valuable advice. Access the Veterinary Career Center through the WSVMA website at www.wsvma.org and click on Vet Careers.
Free Ad for Relief Veterinarians
Relief veterinarians who are members receive a free ad on the WSVMA website making it easier for members to find timely help on short notice or long-term help for an illness or extended travel.

Power of Ten Leadership Academy
The WSVMA Power of Ten Leadership Academy takes a small cohort of recent graduates and trains them in various leadership components over the course of a year. Hone your leadership skills and meet colleagues at the same stage in their career.

Advocating for WA Veterinarians and Animals
The WSVMA legislative advocate and staff monitor the legislative issues and potential rule changes that affect each and every veterinarian. This allows an unmatched presence and influence for veterinarians in Olympia, within the legislature, the Veterinary Board of Governors, and other regulatory agencies affecting our profession. The WSVMA has saved WSVMA members over $8 million since 1985.
Public Relations for the Veterinary Profession
The WSVMA employs a public affairs director to work with media and increase public awareness of important topics as well as to promote veterinarians and the value of veterinary services.

WA Veterinarian Magazine is the association’s official publication dedicated to keeping members informed on veterinary issues in the state and around the country. The electronic format allows members to be informed at a moment’s notice when urgent issues arise.
WSVMA.org – a Premier Veterinary Resource
The WSVMA website provides the latest news, client resources, classifieds, events and information at the touch of a button. Through the Members Only log in, access resources on the topics of animal welfare, public health, practice management, legal questions, wellbeing, and being a new doctor.
Pacific Northwest Veterinary Conference
The WSVMA presents the premier veterinary conference in the northwest corner of the United States. Two and a half days of innovative education designed to advance skills, improve practice, increase wellbeing and train the complete veterinarian. WSVMA members receive significantly lower rates than non-members to attend.
Discounted and Free Cutting Edge CE
The WSVMA gives you access to high-quality, cutting edge continuing education. The Pacific Northwest Veterinary Conference held each fall provides over 150 hours of scientific, practice management, and hands-on labs. Up to four one-day CE programs are also held throughout the year where members are given steep discounts on pricing. Add to that a growing library of free online and recorded CE, and it’s easy and cost effective to get your educational requirements all in one convenient place.
Wellness Assistance
Members receive confidential help for personal issues through the WSVMA-endorsed Washington Physician’s Health Program. Such issues may include and are not limited to depression, anxiety or substance abuse.
