The WSVMA is extending the personal- and professional support member benefit originally established last year to support WSVMA members in navigating COVID-19-related stressors.
Dr. Carrie La Jeunesse, DVM, CT, CFE is offering discounted 50-minute coaching, career counseling, and personal/professional support sessions tailored to individual WSVMA members. Sessions are first-come, first served. Discounted fees are on a sliding scale of $65 to $95 per hour. Individuals may choose the fee that best fits their current personal financial circumstances; that fee will be honored through July 2022.
The health and wellbeing of our membership is a priority, both for the quality of your lives and your work. As COVID-19 designated “essential workers” and animal health professionals, veterinarians have been on the front lines, continuing to serve in the face of enormous stress and change. Over this past year, this new member benefit has proven helpful in assisting individuals with balancing those added demands as well as in developing or honing beneficial skills and perspectives, and in their personal growth and resilience.
Dr. La Jeunesse is the owner and principal consultant for La Jeune Consulting. She is a veterinarian, thanatologist (loss/dying/death/bereavement), compassion fatigue educator, spiritual director, and specializes in disaster behavioral health and various communications approaches. In addition to teaching and consulting, she works with frontline health workers, first responders, and caregivers around the world as well as with individual citizens, groups, and communities impacted by crises and loss. She also supports corporate clients in government, academia, the private sector, and civil society.
