This month, the Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) released a report that in 2013, they handled over 180,000 cases of pet exposed to possible poisonous substances. Nearly 20 percent of those calls were from owners whose pets got into medicines intended for human use. Mandatory prescription bill reintroduced in Congress – take action now

On February 10, Rep. Jim Matheson (D-UT-4th) reintroduced the so-called “Fairness to Pet Owners Act” (H.R. 4023), which applies to drugs prescribed for domesticated household animals.
