Please participate in survey about antiparasitic drug use and resistance in ruminants and horses

The FDA Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM) is asking equine, bovine and small ruminant practitioners to participate in a survey about antiparasitic drug use and resistance in ruminants and horses. Veterinary parasitologists are asked to complete the survey as well. Washington State Veterinary Medical Association (WSVMA) announces that Michael Anderson, DVM (Lynden, WA) and Lisa Parshley, DVM, PhD, DACVIM were both elected to serve three-year terms on the WSVMA Board of Directors during the Annual Membership Meeting held at the Pacific Northwest Veterinary Conference in September. Prominent pharmacy association calls for pharmacies to have veterinary drug reference on hand

The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) has issued a call for pharmacies to have ready access to a veterinary drug reference such as Plumb’s Veterinary Drug Handbook.  In response to the increasing number of medication errors by pharmacists, NABP added to the 2015 Model State Pharmacy Act and Model Rules, language that each pharmacy shall have access to a veterinary reference.
