Pacific Northwest Veterinary Conference is going virtual!
While you’ve been busy dealing with COVID-19 and having to quickly adjust to a whole new way of veterinary practice, the WSVMA Board and staff have been evaluating how to hold a large conference for over 1,200 in the middle of a pandemic. The safety of our attendees, speakers, exhibitors and sponsors is our number one priority as we work to provide high-quality continuing education and because it’s unclear what October will look like when it comes to face to face meetings, we’ve decided to launch a new, exciting, and fully-virtual Pacific Northwest Veterinary Conference (PNWVC) on October 2 – 4, 2020.
World Class Programming
The WSVMA Program Committee has planned another amazing meeting and we’ll deliver all the same content in the virtual space. The PNWVC will have multiple tracks just as our in-person conference has, but instead of having to make the difficult decision to attend one presentation over another, our live-streamed sessions will be recorded, meaning you have access to all the conference content. That means 130 hours of high-quality continuing education credits available!
The program features highly respected experts across small animal, large animal and equine medicine. In addition, we have scientific sessions on backyard chickens, avian, exotics, and wildlife. Our speakers will offer their expertise in practice performance, pricing, veterinary teams, employment law, crisis planning and response, and more. Veterinary technicians will also conduct their own program. And importantly, while we live through these challenging times, we’ll offer sessions on cultural humility and access to care.
Virtual Exhibit Hall
Just like every other year, you will still have opportunities to meet with exhibitors and sponsors to learn about the latest goods and services they offer to help us in our work. Thanks to partnering with a premier online platform, just like the usual PNWVC, we’ll include a virtual exhibit hall that will provide ample opportunities to meet with vendor representatives, learn about their products, and place orders.
We’ll also include the fun!
Just because we’re virtual, doesn’t mean we can’t have fun. This year’s conference will provide robust opportunities to create a virtual community, network with one another, meet new friends and find old ones. We’ll have group happy hours, surprise guests, awards presentations, contests and raffles to make the experience memorable.
So don’t miss out! Mark your calendars now and stay tuned as we roll out complete program information and open registration on July 1.
Your strength, courage and creativity are amazing, but even in the midst of a global pandemic you continue to inspire awe. Every day brings new stories of veterinary professionals doing remarkable, life-saving work even when it puts you in harm’s way. Thank you for what you do.
We can’t wait to “see” you in October.
