Are anti-vaccination attitudes growing?

  |   Animal Health

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared ‘vaccine hesitancy’ as one of the top 10 threats to global health and not without good reason. The WSVMA seeks your assistance in helping ensure U.S. veterinarians have the opportunity to provide input on a global survey. The purpose of the survey is to better understand animal owner attitudes towards vaccination and is being conducted by the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA).

In November 2019, the WSAVA Vaccination Guidelines Group launched, with the help of Health for Animals, this online survey.  The deadline for submission of survey responses has been extended to February 1, 2020 – so please respond today!

In order for the results of the survey to truly represent the global veterinary community, the WSAVA is seeking assistance from veterinary medical associations to encourage individual veterinarians-and in particular, small animal practitioners-to respond to the survey.

All links and information related to the survey are available on the WSAVA website. WSAVA estimates that no more than 15 minutes will be needed to complete the three-part online survey.

Help us play our part in overcoming the problem.

If you have any questions about or need any help with the survey, please contact Dr. Emma van Rooijen at WSAVA.
