WSVMA DVM: Masterclass Webinar – A Retailer’s Perspective on Animal Care and Wellbeing

  |   Continuing Education

Join us Tuesday, September 17 at 12 pm for our webinar A Retailer’s Perspective on Animal Care and Wellbeing. Dr. Janet Helms will be our guest speaker. What is all this talk about slow grow chicken, Prop 12 and cage-free eggs, and pig crates? In this webinar, we will explore animal welfare concerns across species from a different vantage point. Retailers and restaurants have very specific needs, concerns and risks. Changing perspectives will allow us to explore issues from the retailer-restaurant customer’s eye. We will understand our individual and industry biases, as farm animal owners, as veterinarians, and as consumers. Our goal is to downshift and allow us to educate our clients on what could be coming, how we could ensure we are appropriately addressing animal welfare concerns in the food chain, and identify ways to move forward and continuously improve.

All monthly webinars are free for members. They’re recorded and made available on-demand, accessible through the WSVMA website under CE Events/DVM Masterclass. Recorded webinars provide a link to take an exam at the end so that credit can be received for non-live CE.

Whether you can join us live or later, don’t miss this important webinar. Register online at the WSVMA website. And don’t forget to check out our other monthly webinars. We’re bringing timely topics in a convenient format meant to benefit you and your practice. See the full calendar here.
