Washington State University recognizes three veterinary faculty
Washington State University recently honored distinguished members of the University community, including three from the College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Dale Moore, Veterinary Clinical Sciences is the recipient of the 2019 Sahlin Faculty Excellence Award for outstanding achievement in outreach and engagement. The award is the university’s highest faculty honor. Dr. Anita Vasavada also received the 2019 Sahlin Faculty Excellence Award for outstanding achievement in instruction.
Douglas R. Call, global animal health, was promoted to the rank of Regents Professor, which can be held by no more than 30 Washington State University faculty members at any one time. Promotion to Regents Professor requires service to the university for at least seven years and attainment of the highest level of professional achievement.
Dr. Katrina L. Mealey is the recipient of the 2019 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award, which honors a faculty member whose scholarly contributions and associated outreach efforts have measurably and significantly improved lives through engagement with industry or other elements of the private sector.
