WSVMA Committees and Task Forces are open to all WSVMA members.

Below are different ways you can get involved.

Task Force to Address Medication Errors

Evaluate need for training and CE in veterinary pharmacology and animal physiology for pharmacy students and registered pharmacists.

Task Force on Veterinary Compounding

Develop recommendations for amending compounding regulations to better apply to veterinary practice.

Task Force on Marijuana and Pets

Develop recommendations for members on the liability of prescribing and the medicinal use of marijuana for pets.

Membership Task Force

Evaluate current membership models to ensure they’re adequately addressing member needs.

Website Content Task Force

Evaluate and determine content of value to be included on the WSVMA website.

VetMed Matters Planning Committee

Assist in planning new issue-driven spring conference. Topics will focus on issues in veterinary medicine such as antimicrobial resistance, pharmacy issues, animal welfare, legal issues, etc.

Leadership Development Committee

Assist in developing potential volunteer veterinary leaders.

Program Committee

Plans WSVMA’s Pacific Northwest Veterinary Conference.

Editorial & Publications Committee

Plans content of WA Veterinarian magazine.

WSVMA treasurer

Individual to serve as an officer, three-year term, with ability to renew.
