2005 Animal Hall of Fame Awarded to
“Indy” Wood

Indy is quite simply an ideal companion. He came to live with Charles and Dorothy Wood in 1996. In August 2003, Charles passed away leaving Indy to care for his beloved wife. As any gentleman would, Indy rose to the occasion. He has done an exemplary job escorting Dorothy throughout her daily routine and on family RV vacations. “Friends” does not adequately describe the unshakable bond between this pair of “seasoned” citizens.

2005 Animal Hall of Fame Awarded to
“Tanner” Gregory

Tanner was born a yellow Labrador retriever. In three years, he has developed into a reading teacher, autism counselor, and canine fire marshal. His work in Gail Gregory’s elementary school classes has brought an enhanced education to her students. Tanner’s calm and consistent demeanor has taught children the value of animals and compassion for all living things. What he lacks in voice, he exceeds with heart.
